Pilgrim Morris are mixed Morris side from Guildford and dance a variety of Cotswold traditions. They are well known for engaging with their audience with witty interactions, use of animals and audience participation.
This is a participatory workshop for dancers of any tradition.
The focus will be on dancing and making it fun for the audience.
Bring along your ideas for an inspiring and fun packed day.
Cost £10 or £8 if booked before 28th Feb 2020
It is a participatory workshop where we will be looking at everything from an audience perspective.

How to optimise your dancing

Performance starts & introductions

Fun between dances

Use of animals (e.g. zebras)

Audience interaction and audience joining in finale.
In the afternoon, students will be invited to collaborate in composing and trying out a new audience involvement dance.
The workshop will use a simple Adderbury dance but no knowledge of this will be assumed. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

11:45 Registration and Refreshments
12:15 – 13:30 “First Session”
13:30 – 14:30 Lunch (Bring and share – or go to the pub)
14:30 – 17:00 “Second Session” with refreshment breaks as required
